Who would run with RV?..desalle? Cairoli? De Dyker? He stays healthy all year he's gonna destroy those guys.

I believe a fully prepared RV can win, otherwise he will not.

Caroli is at the peak of his career, has all the tracks dialed, his bike is dialed, coming off 5 straight world championships, etc. There is no one on the planet faster in the sand (except maybe Hearlings). If you think he is going to go over and just smoke AC222 you're delusional.

RV spent most of the year on the couch recovering from yet another knee surgery. He sold his property/practice tracks, no more Aldon, etc.. He would be living outside the US for the first time, the language issues, the food, etc.

I think If he goes over there and pulls it off, he would be approaching GOAT status. I can't imagine his ego would allow him to go over and risk getting beat to finish out his career. I hope he goes for it, but I'll believe it when I see it.

I don't know. He will be living in a different country, dealing with different cultures, food, people, tracks, etc. It may take some time to get up to speed. It will be freakin awesome to watch, though!

Has anybody ever won a GP and an AMA National in the same year? Marty Smith?

RV could do it.

Hey, how much of a pay cut/raise would RV take going to Europe?
How do you think his sponsors would pan out... same people?

Someone was throwing around 12 million between sponsorship money, win bonus for a championship and team salary. Take that for whatever you think it's worth.

Denial of what??

Personally I don't care if he goes or not, I've never really been a big RV fan.

But all odds point to him retiring. IF he shows up in the GP's, feel free to bring up this thread and remind me.

I'm just sayin - I don't think he goes.

Someone mentioned that many of the tracks are new next year,AC won't have quite the track knowledge as in previous years

True . And I believe Donnie Hansen did it in 82 when he won the 250 national title and won both motos of the Swedish GP.

I hope he goes. If Herlings truely moves up as it has been said by some, then him, AC222 and RV would be AWESOME to watch!

For that to happen it must be a two year GP ride for RV cause Herlings is riding MX2 in 2015.
